About Madeed Foundation

Madeed Foundation is a Saudi nonprofit foundation licensed by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development. It was established in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and its aspirations to build a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation

Saudi Vision 2030 has identified several strategic directions to transform the Kingdom’s society and economy

toward a knowledge-based future. These include knowledge and technology transfer, localizing expertise in manufacturing, maintenance, research and development, and creating an enabling environment that attracts, dev.and capitalizes on human talent

Vision 2030 also emphasizes supporting entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises, while attracting leading international expertise and talent to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Its flagship initiative will be the Global Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, implemented in coordination and collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s research, development, and innovation ecosystem

Global Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

The Global Postdoctoral Fellowship Program offers researchers and recent PhD graduates' opportunities to undertake postdoctoral fellowships at universities and research centers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as at leading private-sector companies

Program Objectives

  • Support Saudi Vision 2030 programs and initiatives that require advanced postdoctoral research.

  • Generate positive economic impact, including the creation of start-ups, high-value employment opportunities, and contributions to economic growth and development.

  • Develop Saudi researchers and establish sustainable pathways for advanced, high-quality research.

  • Stimulate innovation and the creation of patents and intellectual property that benefit Saudi Arabia and the wider world.
